Punta Prima
In the district of Sant Lluis is Punta Prima
Situated on the southeast corner of the island of Menorca.
It is a short hop from the capital of Mahon making it a short 25-minute taxi trip from the airport on your arrival.
A very popular destination at Menorca and caters for everyone with everything you need on your break. You will find a good range of properties from Villas, Apartments and some great hotels dotted around this good size resort.
What to find at Punta Prima?
A fabulous gentle sloping beach with clear blue water and the sand is lovely and soft. A great resort for families and couples alike. Good to know that there are lifeguards on duty along the beach. With a good number of good quality restaurants and bars that you can find near the centre of the small village.

We went to Punta Prima on a windy day and the sea had a little surf and it was great to watch the surfers whilst relaxing having a nice cool beer. You can hire parasols for the day or just some sunloungers. Parasols cost about 20 euros a day. As we were staying for a week there, we bought our own parasol for 10 euros from the local supermarket.

What we noticed and was impressed with was how clean the beach area was. The only slight downside was if you got a patch of seaweed, it tended to smell a bit. If you're into snorkeling, you need a calm day and head to the right side of the beach (as you look straight out to sea).
Point of interest. You can hire out a Kayak and everything else you need in the resort. Also if you want to get about, there is a scooter hire and also bike hires if you have a bit of spare energy going.

All in all Punta Prima is great and is in our top choices along with Cala Galdana. Also nearby is the relaxing town of S'Algar.
