Son Bou shopping centre is in the middle of the town.
There is a good selection of restaurants and bars here along with several supermarkets plus many shops selling the usual holidaymaker trinkets, goods and services.
There is also a taxi rank near the main roundabout in the centre of town. If you wanted to visit Santo Tomas by taxi, the cost one way is about €25. It seems a lot but there is no coastal road between Son Bou and Santo Tomas. Maybe a walk along the coastal path to Santo Tomas, and ride back in a cab after eating and drinking is a great way to spend a day.

Nearby Attractions

Playa de Binigaus: Located westwards past Santo Tomas, this vast virgin beach is known for its natural beauty and tranquillity, attracting both nudists and clothed visitors alike.

Son Bou offers a blend of natural beauty, safety, and convenience, making it an ideal spot for both action-packed and relaxed beach days. Its extensive size allows visitors to find their perfect spot, whether near the lively beach bars or in a more secluded area by the sand dunes.
On the beach, they have done a brilliant job with elevated timber Walkways over the top of the sand dunes to get you to the beach. The beach is very popular and there is a good-sized car park where you can simply park your car and go 50 yards on to the beach.
The beach has many lookouts with lifeguards keeping an eye on the shoreline making this an excellent family beach with safety in mind. There are parasols and sun loungers to hire and other water sporting activities available.

Fun for the kids
You will also find some water slides/chutes near to Saint Jaime complex near the beach.

Son Bou Villas
There are many apartment complexes where you can hire an apartment for your holiday. there is a good choice and something for everybody.
We like to hire our own Villa when we go to Menorca period so far we have used Villa Plus who have been great. nothing's a problem and they sort out any issues quickly. Above is Villa Corina at Son Bou views across the to the sea.
For instance, are swimming pool light didn't work and the guy came straight out and fixed it buy hanging his arms over the side of the swimming pool and his head too whilst replacing the bulb! There are other Villa companies you can hire a villa off. Tui Villas are really good too and have some fabulous Villas cross the island of Minorca.
